Northern bred heifers worked through the yards very well. They were handled through the back yards and worked by a novice stockman with ease. There were a few heifers that rushed up the race or felt threatened in the crush, but they instantly calmed down when back with the rest of the herd. They left the yards patiently and without any trouble.

Assessor Comments
Three decks of 72 Brahman and Brahman Cross #1 or #2 Heifers. These heifers are well-suited for the good feed in the south due to their frame, bone, and potential weight gains. They are well-bred Northern heifers and would be suitable for breeding. The heifers were VET pregnancy tested undetectable on April 8th by Anita McNamara, and have been kept in a good paddock away from bulls at Eversleigh since then. 15 of the heifers were mouthed and found to have either just broken or solid 2 or 4 teeth, with 11 being identified as 2T and 4 as 4T. 93% of these heifers are Brahman/Brahman X while 5hd being Vendor Bred do have Charolais/Santa or Droughtmaster infusion.

PICK OF 3 FULL FLUSH HEIFERS
Palgrove Charolais
· Flush · Charolais · Sire: PLEASE SEE CATALOGUE · Dam: PLEASE SEE CATALOGUE · PK25W83E, PK25W44E, PK25W53E (Pick of 3 flush sisters) True to our word, when we release females of this calibre it’s a genuine opportunity to secure the very best our program has to offer — something we don’t do more than twice in a decade. These three full flush sisters, all from one of our elite donor females, represent a rare chance for new or established stud breeders to invest in a future donor female with enormous upside. We couldn’t split them, so the choice is yours — and what a statement they would make at the World Congress in Brisbane this August. They are out of a proven donor female and sired by Rockerfella, who sold to the Ascot Stud for $100,000 in 2022. His first sons featured in last year’s sale, with 20 sons selling to average $20,737, underlining the consistency and demand for this sire line. They also have a full flush brother from the same program who is something truly special. If we don’t retain him, he will feature as a highlight bull in the yearling section of our September sale. Their dam has an outstanding production record, with 20 recorded progeny before the age of five, returning over $100,000 in her first year of sales from just five progeny. This included Ultrahot, who sold to Futurity Charolais for $40,000, and another daughter who sold to Black Duck Charolais for $18,000 as a 10-month-old heifer, who has since entered their donor program. The granddam is also a prominent donor with progeny reaching $36,000. A further first-calf Landmark daughter retained in our herd and full sister to Ultrahot ($40,000) was flushed this year, producing 14 eggs, reinforcing the exceptional fertility and consistency of this female line. You take the choice — and ‘Make your Mark’ on the Charolais breed.
