Heifers were generally good to handle in the back yards, although happy to travel as a mob were easy to block and hold. Some heifers were anxious to travel through the race and scrambled when caught, however settled immediately when returned to the mob. All heifers were weighed. preg tested and mouthed simultaneously.

Assessor Comments
Buyers this is a rare opportunity to purchase PB Wagyu heifers from a respected, well established herd. The Fucheng Woodlands herd has been highly acclaimed for the meat quality, and feedlot performance, of their PB herd. Heifers display the bred characteristics, growth for age, and carcass data, to be considered as future breeders in most commercial Wagyu herds. Alternatively may suit feedlot applications. Heifers have never been joined, but have been Pregnancy Tested empty to provide confidence to either breeders or feeders. Three heifers observed with single pink eye scarring, not considered detrimental. Four heifers have horn regrowth on a single side. 147 heifers were all mouthed at assessment and whilst the majority were milks there were 39 that were 2 tooth, giving the indication that the majority are on the verge of cutting teeth. Offered as run out the gate of 74 from a total of 147 heifers offered. Heifers will be split 5 each way consecutively, balance singularly.
