Being a requirement of their heifer selection, I would say with confidence that the temperament of these cows is hard to fault. They are free moving throughout the yards, sensible in the crush and well handled in the paddock with horses, dogs & side by sides.

Assessor Comments
Tarrabah Pastoral Co presents an outstanding line of 80 PTIC Angus females, joined to well-recognised Hazeldean and Booroomooka Angus sires. The vendor has focused on fertility, structure, temperament and performance for more than 10 years, consistently selecting bulls with calving ease, strong 600-day growth, sound structure and quiet temperament. This draft represents the lead run of females retained following pregnancy scanning, with all cows successfully conceiving in the first cycle. At assessment, the cows are approximately 7–8 months in calf and are due to calve from the last two weeks of July through to the first two weeks of August. These females are genuine breeder cows that have reared a calf every year and continue to perform within a commercial production system. Progeny from this herd are highly regarded by both local and interstate feedlot operators, targeting domestic and export markets. Cows are 5–8 years of age and are age-numbered with visual tags. Aged cows and the bottom 10% of the herd have been removed, allowing buyers the confidence in securing productive females with plenty of breeding life remaining. Presented in healthy store to forward store condition and fit to load, this is a quality line of proven Angus breeders backed by years of disciplined genetic selection.

Breeding Comments
Vendors have been using high quality, high indexing Booroomooka & Hazeldean registered Angus sires for 7 + to 10 + years with a key focus on fertility, type and temperament.
Grazing Conditions
These cows have been grazing both natural & improved pastured in what has been quite a tough period over the past four months. For the past six weeks, these cows have been supplemented with cotton seed at ~ 2 kg per day, every second day.
