Comment on Fat Score 1 Cattle
Cows are in forward store condition. Given their strong body score they will handle travelling long distance, with regular 800 km spells. Cows are clean, therefor good to travel from property to spelling yards or destination. All cows have been on trucks before for long distances and are familiar with transporting. Calves have not been trucked previously.

Cows can be anxious under pressure in yards as a mob. They are sensitive to pressure but generally not aggressive. They require experienced handlers. In the head bale when caught cows where calm. In the paddock on vehicle inspection cows were generally settled. Cows generally settled once in cooler with calf after processing. With good handling these cows will improve.

A young line of forward condition medium frame functional breeders with 100% calves at foot. Cows avg 452kg & 100kg brahman calves. Cows have been on good productive pasture & rejoined to black brangus bulls & 1 composite charbray bull since November. Brahman calves are good quality. Calves are quiet natured. In Cow mob 75% display full hump & 25% minimal hump. Generally good bone & good confirmation across the mob with a 10% tail in cow quality. Purchased line of one brand cows. 3 capped hips in mob. Cow colour: 41% red, 28% grey, 15% honey & 16% black brindle & brown. CALF Colour: 23% honey, 26% grey, 43% red, 8% other. This mob would respond well to good handling practises. Generally cows are not aggressive types however there are some cows that are more nervous under extreme pressure.
