The heifers were preg tested the day before assessment. They were a little reluctant to re-enter the race and were quick without being aggressive. The heifers have been handled with low stress principles since arrival and handle well.

The heifers were drafted on colour and type. One heifer has one eye (but doesn't seem to effect it) and there is slight scaring in 3 other heifers but definitely not detrimental. The heifers were preg tested the previous day and still moved through race well.

Stock History
Heifers were purchased as calves with trade cows out of Clare in South Australia. Since arriving at Weemabah, they have been under low stress management and have been easy to handle.
Lifetime Traceable
The cows and calves were purchased at end of the drought to utilise the abundant feed.
Bloodlines
Bloodlines are unknown but are mixed breeds of Shorthorn, Santa, Droughtmaster & Brahman and their crosses and were drafted by colour and type.
Grazing Conditions
Native pastures, dry summer feed, clover and winter herbage.

These heifers have responded well to LSS principles and have been in a cell grazing operation behind single wire fences. They yield well to dogs and are easy to handle.
