Steers were great to handle in the yards and responded well to pressure. Although there was some typical nervousness as you would expect from young cattle. 15 became restless when too much pressure was applied and 5 became agitated. Most were sensible on the scales, some would rock back and forth which are listed above as slightly stirry or stirry. Electric fence trained.

A quality line of King Island Baldy & Angus steers presenting great shape, depth and length showing the real benefit of hybrid vigour. A great chance to secure a large consistent line of steers. These steers are responding well to the spring growth currently averaging 1.3 kg a day and have the ability to grow out into heavy weights to suit grass finished or feeder markets. Vendor sources sires from top studs including Cluden Newry and Yalgoo Poll Herefords, selecting for early maturity and quality carcass traits. Vendor often has high indexing MSA slaughter cattle. Please note buyers not on King Island to pay freight from Grassy Wharf, King Island, please read delivery comments. Steers are Never Ever accredited, JBS Farm Assured, Vendor bred and electric fence trained.
