An opportunity here to purchase a line of mixed sex droughtmaster weaners in STORE condition. these weaners are all showing some ribs and hip indicating all frame and no weight, given an opportunity on grass, they will bound away. the cattle were very easy to handle and work which is a credit to the vendor. Hill Springs have gained a reputation of breeding true to type Droughtmasters and these are no different. this vendor does not usually sell cattle this light but due to ongoing dry times they havto be sold. 2 weaners treated at assessment for weeping eye (not expecting scarring) and 1 with small warts below eye. sex composition 50 steers, 12 bull calf, 90 heifer. Cattle were born and bred at " HILL SPRINGS" station approx 150km north east of Carnarvon then trucked to there grazing property at Dongara. this week they were trucked to a transit depot in prep for this sale.

Munda Reds, sevenell, by-mingo, SC, Barlyne Droughtmaster bulls used.

I would normally retain all of these cattle and background onto feeder weights but due to lack of rain at Hill springs and a dry 2023 at our southern block our hand has been forced, we traditionally dont sell cattle this light.
