Assessor Comments
13 very good quality red South Devon steer yearlings, which have good bone & conformation. They are well bred & handled, and sourced from the highly regarded Merilba South Devon herd established at Kingstown near Armidale. A small lot which would suit any enterprise whether backgrounding or fattening on crop or pasture. They have been cared for very well. They are only in store condition as they have only been grazing unsupered native pasture through winter and during a very wet summer. These Merilba blood steers are known as very good performers and will give very good compensatory weight gain, on crop or well established pasture. Vendor scales checked and used. Note:- Weight at assessment 272 - 391kg. Average 328Kg.
