These calves have only been handled through the yards once prior to the assessment when they were marked. Calves easily drafted off cows and when drafted for sale lots. A couple after weighing became agitated and when they were back in the mob stirred others up. With weaning and handling these should settle down. Calves blocked well until being stirred by the one or two that stirred. Again weaning and handling should fix this.

Assessor Comments
An exceptional line of Charolais Angus cross steers that ooze quality. These steers have a power of weight for their age and are really stacking on the weight. These steers are bred from large frame Waitara blood Angus and Angus/Shorthorn/Santa cows and are sired by Alpine Charolais stud sire Alpine Napoleon N1E who was used in stud in the Alpine herd (see photo). These calves are bred in the purple and every bit of it shows with their big weight for age, heavy bone, width from head to tail and super easy fleshing style. Ideal steers to grow out with ease to heavier feeder weights or to take on to domestic or export grid weights.
