Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Heifers were generally very good to handle in the race and crush. In the bigger yards there tended to be a few ring leaders that want to rush around a bit quickly but nothing that is considered aggressive in any way. Best handled in a quiet manner with a focus on not letting anything become isolated as with most cattle it will bring out the worst in them.
Buyers, an attractive line of mainly Grey Brahman lightweight young heifers that show plenty of quality. These will suit restockers looking to increase breeder numbers or to take through to heavier feedlot entry weights. These are the lightest lot of heifers being offered and were drafted on the scales into weight ranges. Heifers all have tidy heads. Buyers in tick free areas will be required to dip at Bridge Creek clearing facility twice. Heifers were good to handle in the race and crush with a few that tend to move a bit quicker in the bigger yards. Please note there are 213 heifers in the sale from this property offered in three lots. A parallel assessment was completed by Ken Krienke.
