Steers were easy to handle through the good set up in the Ierne yards. Steers were easily put through race and crush set up with very few becoming stirred up even under pressure. Once back out of crush settled straight back down again. 1 steer did become agitated but otherwise all handled well.

Assessor Comments
A well bred line of feeder steers. The Emmagool herd originates from predominately Gilmandyke bloodlines and in more recent years have been using top Milla Murra & Te Mania blood sires. The Job family selects genetics targeting larger EMA and IMF figures. These steers are ideal to push on to both supermarket and export markets with a great start on oats crop. Steers are showing now with a change in the weather to be really moving forward and starting to clean up in their coat. The Emmagool steers are known for their performance in feedlots with a lot of repeat buyers in their usual saleyards selling platform. **Note some steers have old pinkeye scarring (slightly cloudy) in at least 1 eye however, at assessment this had no effect on their vision at all.
