Assessor Comments
100 - EU Accredited - Good Quality Vendor Bred Angus heifers presenting in healthy forward store to fresh condition. Heifers are NSM - being bred from a reputable, New England self replacing Angus cow herd based on Pine Creek Bloodlines. Heifers were weaned over the period of a week prior to assessment. Heifers were subjected to a 6 hour curfew prior to assessment, all heifers weighed out at assessment from 260kg & heavier. 3 heifers were noted to have white Under bellies/ Udders. Temperament of the heifers is a feature, although heifers are transitioning to weaned, heifers handled sensibly in both force yards & back yards, testament to their management practices. Annual production sale of heifer weaners, presenting an opportunity to secure a genuine line of Angus breeding females to take on, join & retain as future breeders, considered suitable replacements in the most discerning commercial Angus operations.
