Buyers these steers were good to handle, draft and assess. Approximately half the steers stirred up in the crush getting weighed and pre treated, which is to be excepted for a fresh calf off mum. Once let out of the crush they walked back into the mob and were settled. They were good to photo and video and work well through the yards. Only a handful of steers stirred up in the pound and approx third of the mob were flighty in pound, but to be expected for a calf fresh off mum with no weaning.

Assessor Comments
Buyers please consider this soft line of 102 (3 decks) crossbred weaner steers. Weighing from 195-406 kgs to avg 278 kgs at assessment. Grasslands accredited steers that will suit backgrounding into heavy feeder weights or carry on and finish. The steers were pulled off their mothers and had a 12 hour yard curfew overnight before assessment, after assessment they will remain yard weaned until delivery. Pre treated with D-MAX pour-on to assist with movement into tick free areas. Buyers please refer to my photos and videos as part of my description. Please note a small % of steers showing more content in their crossbred breed type and that the steers will not be fully weaned or educated at delivery, only yard weaned for approx 6 days by sale day. These steers are renowned for their performance and i have full confidence they will grow out to their reputation and will be easy to wean and educate. PCAS eligible, Grasslands accredited.
