Buyers these steers were a pleasure to draft and assess. They were good to handle considering being freshly weaned and trucked days prior. A small handful got unsettled in the crush whilst being pre treated which is to be expected for fresh weaners and few were quicker in the pound. I have full confidence these steers will be good to educate and will settle nicely. Please refer to my videos of the steers in the yards after assessment. Buyers please consider this vendor bred line of 102 Droughtmaster steers (3 decks). Weighing from 214 - 354 kgs to average 281 kgs at assessment. This line of steers were born and raised on the vendors lease country in a tick free area and were pulled off the cow and trucked directly to the home yards for weaning and assessment which is in ticky country. They will remain in the yards until delivery and have been given Dectomax Injectable as a pre treatment. The vendor will guarantee this line clear of tick delivery on farm for tick free buyers within Qld (inspector to scratch on farm), for interstate buyers they will need to present at a clearing plunge dip. The Saunders Family cattle of "Medway Park" have a strong reputation for their performance and i have full confidence these steers will grow out to reach heavy feeders or good bullocks.
