Buyers these steers were a pleasure to work through the yards to draft and assess. They have extensive education at weaning worked through the yards and tailed out. They assessed with ease and only a small % stirred up in the crush. A quiet line of well handled steers that are mustered using helicopters than bikes in lanes to the yards. Work very well on foot through yards and pound, as mentioned the odd one stirred up in crush. Buyers please note these steers have not been exposed to horses.

Buyers please consider this genuine line of 104 HGP treated crossbred steers (4 decks). The Gittens Family cattle are highly renowned for their high level of quality and performance on both grass and grain. Renowned bred steers with good weight for age, bone, frame, softness and quiet temperament. Weighing from 360 - 504 kgs full at assessment after being in the yards for 4 hours to average 431.2 kgs full at assessment. Ideal HGP treated steers to finish on crop or grain, with confidence they will perform to their reputation. Please note there are 3 soft brindles and 7 steers with scurred horns, buyers please refer to photos and videos as part of my description. Pre-treated with Dectomax Injectable at assessment, steers showed to be visually clean of tick at assessment. The vendor has agreed to pay for 1 plunge dip at the Emerald saleyards for tick free buyers. Steers will be ready to present for visual inspection at delivery. Dry native and improved pastures with a mix of legumes, still a bit of life/green flag in parts of their paddock. "Poinsetta" has received a reasonably good season so far this year. Steers have been returned to their paddock until delivery.

Easy all weather access, Emerald Saleyards double deck loading ramp. Buyers due to Saleyards weigh bridge being shut over the weekends, please see delivery period of between 16th-18th August. No other trucking restrictions.
