Comment on Fat Score 1 Cattle
These Heifers are in light store condition due to the dry conditions and the paddock they were in had very poor pasture. Recent rain has turned the pasture around. They are doing very well on the fresh feed from recent rains and are definitely moving forward. They are healthy and fit to travel

These heifers worked up the race and through the scales very quietly. with the exception of 2 they all stood quietly while being weighed. They were all very settled and quiet to walk through in the yards and pen up. None stirred up in the pound. Previous buyers have commented on the excellent temperament of these cattle.

Assessor Comments
Enormous compensatory weight gain to be had here. These girls have been running in forest country under dry conditions where the pasture was exhausted. They are all frame and now with rain in the last six weeks they are moving ahead on fresh green pick. They have been bred on light country and will explode on some good feed. These heifers are out of a cow herd that has been using Simental as its base for many years. Sires are from Billa Park, Ticoba (red Simental) Moongool, Casa Toro and Summa Simental and Bettafield Charolais and the odd Droughtmaster. A large percentage of these heifers show the traditional Simental markings and others are showing the more the red or black influence and some straight Droughtmasters. They have clean heads, show kind temperament and worked beautifully up the race and through the yards. They are branded as very late no. 4, mouthed 20 of them these were all milk tooth.
