Steers are well trained to horses and dogs, and have had exposure to side by sides and vehicles. A percentage of steers became unsettled in the race, due largely to turning around. All settled quickly when returned to their mates. Video should be perused as a measure of temprament.

Assessor Comments
An even line of vendor bred Angus cross Angus steers, weighing 270-330 kg ( weighed full at assessment). The Fucheng Woodlands steers have earnt a reputation for performance on either grass or grain. Steers exhibit good growth for age, and sound structure. Have recently been introduced to an oats crop which they have only now settled on, compensatory gain may be expected. A number of steers display a degree of old ringworm scarring, which appears to be arrested at their last drenching. Two steers appear to be later marked, albeit with no secondary male characteristics that they wont grow out of.
