Assessor Comments
Offering 228 Angus/Simmental cross steer weaners, sold in two runs of 114hd. These steers are Vendor Bred, HGP-free and Teys Grasslands Accredited. At assessment they weighed from 212kg to 356kg, av. 272.6kg. They are sired by very good Texas, Ardrossan, Booroomooka and Outwest Angus bulls or Lancaster Black Simmental bulls, out of medium to large-framed Brahman X and Brangus cows and medium-framed Angus cows. 8 head show stronger Brahman influence with a slight hump or crest. For calves weaned just prior to assessment, they displayed excellent temperament, flowing quietly through the yards and race as though already been educated and handled. They will be held in the yards on quality bush Mitchell and Flinders Grass hay until delivery. Please note strict delivery of the afternoon of Monday 8th or the morning of Tuesday 9th September. A tail of 60 head removed during assessment (under 200kg), a further 20hd will be removed prior to deliver but are present in the photos (200 - 212kg).
