Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Heifers have received a basic education as weaners and were typically good to handle through the yards. drafted through a pound draft before assessment and then through the race with minimal issues. Small percentage became slightly agitated in the headbail at weighing and mouthing with the odd heifer becoming agitated in the pound. Majority walked in calmly and looked for a gate and lead through the race with no concerns.

Assessor Comments
A good line of young Brahman & Brahman Cross yearling heifers. well suited as backgrounders for live export or feeders with plenty of softness about them. weaned and educated with plenty of potential these girls have the frame and room to continue moving forward to heavy feeders and enough quality to keep on as breeders . Good moderate frame, with tidy heads, good temperament and well handled. Larger percentage of these heifers are out of a mob of cows purchased in 2019, approx 40% genuine vendor bred portion is heavily influenced by the highly regarded Bungoona bloodlines with Charolais genetics through the core breeding herd including River Glen & Ayr. approx 35% of these heifers are considered flatback crossbred types predominately being Charbray/Charolais types. heifers are showing slight roughness in the coat, predominately in the neck area indicating possible lice however buffalo flies were prevalent at assessment with 5 heifers noted to have open bites on their neck.
