Temperament not assessed in Paddock
These have started to quieten down very well since weaning with all the bellowing for the cows pretty much gone. Most handled very easily at assessment through the crush & in the race however there were odd few that were a bit keen in the race. They have only been through the race once prior to assessment however they will receive further education prior to delivery. Very quiet out in the bigger yards when being photographed and videoed. They do respond well to bikes and dogs in the paddock.

Assessor Comments
Buyers, a line of Red Angus steers that come with a very good reputation and have attracted repeat buyers who have commented these produce above average performance. These will suit restockers to grow out and background for domestic or export feeder markets. The hard work of breeding and weaning them has been done. Steers very clean in the muzzle with no nasal discharge that is sometimes prevalent in weaners at this time of year and this indicates they are in good health. There were 3 that were ringed & 1 that was cut out of the entire line of 204 head on Wednesday 1st June. Also noted 1 steer with a few warts around one eye and another with a birth a mark. These bred on lighter country, history would suggest they will really hit their straps if they are exposed to crop or winter herbage. These have had no detrimental growth setback at any stage. They exhibit very good muscling, bone, softness, depth of barrel and great length. To be delivered as a "run of the gate” into even lines.
