Steers were yarded shortly before assessment, they came through the yards well with a small number becoming agitated in crush. Settled well when back in their group.

A line of #0& #1vendor bred HGP free steers that are going forward. A pleasure to handle through the yards. Steers present with adequate growth, very tidy heads in good strong store condition. Cattle have been heavily influenced by the CBV herd and display medium frame high yeilding type that will have the capacity to grow into heavy trade or quality live export steers. Appprox 46% are red or honey, 27% grey, 8% tan or black, 5% cream & 4% brindle in colour.
A small number displayed some fly bites on neck as well as a small number having a few warts on them.

Annual turn off steers. Very quiet steers in strong store condition, suitable for various markets. A mistake at branding saw some steers branded with #0 even though they fit into our #1 calving period.
