Assessor Comments
A mostly good to very good quality line of vendor bred Angus and Angus x steers. 30% of the line are large framed and the remainder medium framed. These steers were yard weaned in several mobs from March to May 2023 and worked through the yards throughout the weaning process. Steers were grazing oats paddock from May until November when they moved onto Barley stubble. They are all sired by Hazeldean Angus bulls with the full sire list provided. All steers received first dose of 5 in 1 at branding from October 2022 - March 2023 & received the 2nd dose and Ivomec from March - June 2023. Three steers were added to the line after assessment and not photographed, although they were asessed & weighed. Steers would suit as backgrounder steers to take to heavy export feeder weights, alternatively they suit to take directly onto feed for the supermarket trade. Please note the NDP sisters of these steers are also for sale in this auction.
