Majority of the steers were very good to handle, approximately 20 wanted to escape when backed into a corner of the yards but were fine when they had no pressure. 3 were stirry in the crush but again fine once let out. Considering they had a big walk in then all weighed in the middle of the heat they were very good to handle.

203 Composite / Crossbred steers all weighed 400kg-526kg full to average 436kg full. Their mothers were purchased out of Clermont QLD a couple of years ago and have been breeding calves at Warren NSW since. The cows were based on Currawee Crossbred genetics (Greg Chappell, Dulverton) and they have kept breeding calves with the same Currawee Crossbred bulls. Ideal to feed, they are all frame with not a heap of cover. Most of the steers are straight red and straight blacks however there are some there with multi colours. Approximately half of the steers are polled and the other half either tipped or dehorned. A excellent run of Composite feeder steers that will grow into beautiful bullocks given the right feed.
