Temperament not assessed in Paddock
These steers are generally quiet to handle through yards and even had to be forced in some cases to move out of the way. The usual few got agitated in the crush but majority stood on scales without fuss. Well weaned and educated to yards.

Assessor Comments
Offering a lovely line of vendor bred Angus cross feeder steers. Hazeldean and Kidman blood steers which are well grown for age and all milk teeth. Majority are good long steers that have the breeding to be heavy feeders even on a short feed regime. Some show rubbing over shoulders possibly due to heifers running with them. A couple of steers have small warts around the facial region (see pics). The cattle were very good to handle at assessment. They weighed between 378kg and 508kg (1 head) to average 444kg after 5 hours in yards. They are forward store condition. The vendor also has 3 decks of Angus steers on offer this sale. These cattle show the benefits of selecting the better end of bulls at both Hazeldean and Kidman stud property sales. There are two management tags only due to family ownership split. These are mainly progeny of Kidman Hereford or Hereford cross cows..

Vendor Comments
These calves have had a great run since birth and are displaying great weight for age. We have prioritised bull selection and not compromised. This seems to be showing in these steers. These are just out of some Hereford home bred cows.
