These young steers worked through the yards and over the scales easily with no fuss considering they are not weaned. It was a very hot humid day and they were fine to handle.

Assessor Comments
A very classy 34 unweaned Angus steers. The vendors take great pride in the presentation of their cattle and the selection of the bulls they purchase. These steers are sired by Pentire Angus and Tivoli Angus Bulls. These steers display wonderful length, thickness and yet soft. They are in fresh condition and are clean coated. Will suit a wide range of markets - ideal supermarket or local trade steers. 9 Steers display some sheath going back 3 generations with some Santa content in the cows. They have been bred out of large frame cows and should continue to grow out very well. Upper Hunter bred will see them do well in a variety of climates. NB another 25 Angus steer weaners in same sale on property next door.
