Steers were a pleasure to handle right throughout the weighing, drafting & photo/video process. The Obst family pride themselves on offering quiet cattle as they spend lots of time & effort in assuring a quiet herd. Every day of weaning they would use dogs & walk through cattle in yards to educate quiet temperament as if anything looks side ways will be sold in saleyards.

Assessor Comments
An Outstanding genuine line of QUIET, VENDOR BRED, ONE MARK , AUG/NOV drop 23, properly WEANED/VACCINATED Angus steers presenting in strong store/forward store condition. Gydgeboyne Angus program has always been heavily sought after by numerous feedlots & sale yards as they have the renown Angus genetics (TE MANIA EMPORER, RENNYLEA, EMULATION NEXT & MILLAH MURRAH KLOONEY). Its very RARE to see the Gydgenboyne weaner steers hit the open market for opportunity restockers until NOW due to the on going dry conditions. Steers weight range was from 159-235kg with a 10% tail/younger drop removed. Note: 4 steers had a slight pink eye problem deemed active in one eye which was treated at assessment. The same vendor will have top 30% of draft in the same sale. BUY WITH UTMOST CONFIDENCE as these steers have been spared no expenses genetically.
