Assessor Comments
A line of good to very good quality heifers. With medium to large frame the top 60 % suit to take directly onto feed for the domestic supermarket trade. Alternatively they suit to take and join to a bull of the buyers choice with the top 58% potentially making very good quality future breeders. 39 Heifers are vendor bred, the remainder were purchased off AuctionsPlus as calves. The heifers have not had access to grain or cotton seed and are suitable for grass finished markets. They were yard weaned on hay in groups in January & March and worked through the yards during weaning using Low Stress Stock Handling practices. They had their first shot of 5 in 1 at weaning and have been raised in a cell grazing operation using single wire electric fences. Two heifers noted with buffalo fly bites around the neck & shoulder. Please note that the 2 white, high Bos Indicus content heifers seen at 39secs & 48secs in the video have been removed from the assessment.
