Temperament not assessed in Paddock
The heifers were generally good to handle in the yards (see video). There was just approx 6 head that would move off quickly through a gate if the mob moved - they would then slow and settle when held up. In the crush eleven head were moderately agitated in and exiting the crush and another heifer was highly agitated - all settled quickly in mob. In the paddock they are educated to electric fences including single wire electric fences and are trained to regular moves on bikes and side by sides.

Assessor Comments
A mostly good to very good quality line of medium to large frame Angus and Angus x heifers. They have been yard weaned in three mobs from the 22nd to 24th of Feb and will be stay in the yards for several days post assessment to give a 7 - 10 day yard weaning. They have been worked in and through the yards daily using Low Stress Stock handling and the yards have been kept watered to minimise dust. They are ideal to background to domestic feeder weights and then grain or grass finish for a range of high quality markets. They are grain and antibiotic free. The heifers are NSM but will be treated with PG prior to delivery to terminate any unlikely pregnancies. Two heifers with slight blue eye scarring in one eye. All eyes will be rechecked prior to delivery. One heifer with healing ring worm marks on face and deck. Located just south of Wyaga on the Gore Highway and would be able to work in with trucks moving north and south.
