Assessor Comments
A mostly good to very good quality line of medium to large frame Angus and Angus x heifers. All preg tested by a registered vet NDP before assessment (07/02/24). They were yard weaned in two groups in 2023 on lucerne and moved onto native & improved pasture with dry lick through winter. Currently grazing native & improved pasture. All heifers had first shot of 5 in 1 at weaning and second shot 5 weeks later. One heifer has a small amount of pink eye (not seen as detrimental) and was treated with Orbenin at assessment as a precaution. All eyes will be rechecked prior to delivery. Three heifers have small patches of warts around the eyes & face. Located just south of Wyaga on the Gore Highway and would be able to work in with trucks moving north and south. Heifers have not had access to any grain or cotton seed & are PCAS eligible. They are ideal to background to domestic feeder weights and then grain or grass finish for a range of high quality markets
