Temperament not assessed in Paddock
These steers were easy to move around the yards but do tend to have a bit of trot in them in the bigger yards. In the race and crush they were difficult to handle and tended to push in the race making it hard to handle them when they got to the crush. There is absolutely nothing in the mob considered aggressive however. The temperament of these could have been impacted by extremely hot conditions causing them to stir up a bit.

Assessor Comments
Buyers a two-deck lot of good quality yearling milk tooth steers that have presented in basically store condition. Steers are plainer than the heifers (not unusual) but look to be really on the do and show pretty good weight for age. They will suit a multitude of orders including for domestic feedlot entry or to take to heavier export feeder entry weights. They would also suit to finish as heavy export grassfed MSA bullocks off winter crop later in the year. Noted approx. 2 with needle lumps on the neck, don’t think they will be an issue though. They will scratch clean on farm so won’t get held up at the dip. Please be aware there are three lots of heifers and two lots of steers from this property in the sale.
