Heifers that were were good to handle Some of the heifers were weaned in other yards and it was the first time they were through these wet yards, with 3 heifers unsettled in the crush moving backwards and forwards getting their footing. The cattle were quite in the yards and out in a 10 acre paddock where photos were taken. Please note these are vendor bred weaners with only a small % of the cattle ever being trucked (property to property).

Assessor Comments
51 EU Angus weaners vendor bred out of a large New England herd. The Glendon herd is a large commercial herd that is a direct descendant of the Glenavon Angus herd through family succession. The Glendon herd is a self replacing Angus herd that has also been running a very successful Wagyu f1 operation out of this type of heifer for a number of years now, with the progeny going to the same F1 buyer each year. These heifers were drafted on weight only at assessment with the vendor retaining the heavier end of the heifers as replacement heifers and a lighter end returned to the paddock to grow out. These heifers are from 280kg -320kg full at assessment. Two heifers have a slight Red tip on coat this will grow out in the spring. 4 heifers observed with very small amount of white under the udder. 1 hfs small pink eye scaring in 1 eye A opportunity to purchase a line of heifers not normally offered out of a quality herd. The heifers have had 2x 7-1 and up to date on animal health.
