Mostly soft British x Euro cross style cattle, The odd animal shows some Santa influence in a slight amount of navel. One grey heifer showing higher Bos Indicus content (see photo) - still a flatback.

A good to very good quality line of EU accredited weaner heifers. This is the heavier end of the heifers and were drafted with a weight range of 280 - 356 kg. Approx half the weaners were overnight curfewed off cows the night prior to assessing with the balance taken off cows the morning of assessment. All weights have been treated as if they were full weights. The weaners are PCAS eligible if required. One heifer with slight blue eye spot in one eye. Active pink eye was observed during assessing and the any calves showing PE will be treated prior to delivery. No cattle with active PE will be loaded. This and the lighter heifers represent the full run of this years weaner heifers. No heifers are being retained. These EU heifers would suit to join as good quality future breeders or to take directly onto feed / crop to finish for a range of high quality markets.

Calves sired by a mix of Clunie Range and Bulliac Angus bulls and station bred Angus cross and Charolais cross bulls. Cows viewed were an even mix of black Angus x and Charolais x with a touch of Santa also visible in some of the cows.

Charolais genetics are principally Minnie Vale Charolais.

Prior to weaning running with mothers and grazing very good quality native and improved pastures and forage sorghum.

Never had access to grain or cotton seed - PCAS eligible.

The heavier line of heifers (>280kg) will all be injected with Lutalyse on 29/04/21 to ensure any heifers that may have gotten pregnant will be NDP.

The heifers were not joined but a number of bulls were still running with the cows and calves upto assessment. All heifers over 280kg will be Lutalysed prior to delivery to ensure they are NDP.
