Assessor Comments
52 well handled, cross bred, light weight steers that have been properly yard weaned through a very wet period that gave them a small set back. Vendor has put them on good quality lucerne hay and grower pellets in the paddock for the last two weeks which has picked them up in condition. These steers are estimated to have a delivery weight of 211kg. Most of the steers would be suited to background through to domestic feedlot weights or all would suit backgrounding to export feeder weights or fatten to kill. These steers would bound ahead on good quality feed or crop. Three steers are slightly brindle, & 1 brindle in colour, 2 steers have rub marks around the eye, 1 steer has rub marks on withers (presumably from the hay feeder.) Steers were marked and ringed on 21st May, not all of the cods have completely fallen off with 16 still on at assessment. It would be expected that by delivery all would have fallen off and be completely healed. Vendor also has 38 heifers in the same sale.
