Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Heifers are easy to handle in a very good set of yards. There are a few that become stirry when in a confined space and exit the crush quickly. There is every possibility the odd steer could become aggressive if isolated in a confined space. They do need to be steadied through gateways and spook easily if you move quickly around them. Like all mobs there are always ring leaders that have a negative impact on the balance. Best handled by experienced cattle handlers and in a quiet manner.

Assessor Comments
Buyers, a 2-deck lot of EU ACCREDITED and CERTIFIED ORGANIC surplus heifers that are growing out well. There is a range in age in these hence the range in weights and the need to offer them as a two-deck lot. These heifers present in mainly store to forward store condition and are just starting to clean up in the coat so I would expect very good compensatory gains to be achieved on improved pastures, crop or winter herbages. These had a 20-hour curfew prior to assessing so considered reasonably empty. They suit all organic backgrounders to take to heavier slaughter or feeder specifications. Also suit to grow out and use as breeders for an organic operation and eventually mate to the bulls of choice. There is also two lots of steers (5 decks) that can be purchased as well.
