Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Weaners were agitated throughout the assessment, would panic when pressure was applied, were slow to settle and would rush at gateways. They were able to be drafted through a round yard and worked by an experienced stockman. Weaners will remain in the Yards to be weaned up until delivery, during this time they will have regular handling, this may assist with their temperament. Buffalo fly were on the cattle at assessment, this may have also contributed to them being unsettled.
