Most steers worked well in yard and crush. Like most Brahman types they tended to be a bit fast at times and needed to be steadied through gateways. I have helped muster at Lindfield before and I know all cattle are very well handled and a pleasure to work in the paddock.

72 HGP free, vendor bred, Flatback steers from a highly regarded herd in the Julia Creek district. They are only in store condition and majority are good boned, large framed steers that would be ideal to grow into heavy feeders or even take on to heavy bullocks. They are very tidy around the heads and have all been weaned and well educated so all the hard work has been done. Steers were trucked to Dingo Park 23-42 days ago as vendor was stalling for time hoping to get rain and take them back home to Julia Creek. They have been getting fed a starter ration as the intention was always to transition them back onto grass. They are predominantly reds and honeys with 16 brindle, black grey or white faced. Of the 72 crossbred steers, 47 are flatbacks and the other 25 have only slight humps. A few steers had old fly bite marks. If going to tick free country steers will be cleared at Vendors expense.

Stock History
The steers are out of big framed Brahman and Brahman Cross cows. Lindfield has been breeding top quality Brahman cattle for more than 40 years and have traditionally bred very good heavy bullocks.
Lifetime Traceable
Some of the original white Lindfield NLIS tags had fallen out and replaced with orange tags from Dingo Park.
Bloodlines
Lindfield have been purchasing bulls from the top Queensland studs including McCamley's, "Maun", "Kariboe", "Mt Callum" paying up to $40,000
Grazing Conditions
Steers were trucked to Dingo Park from Lindfield, Julia Creek from 31/12/21 to 19/1/22. The pasture at Lindfield was sparse and had lost quality prior to trucking. At Dingo park they have been fed a backgrounder ration in a bunker.

Trucking Access Additional Directions
Council have limited the 17 km of access road from the Flinders Highway to Dingo Park to 2 decks. 4 and 6 deck units can be broken up at the Puma Roadhouse, 18 km from Dingo Park.
Weighing Instruct.
Cattle will be weighed at the registered weigh bridge at the Dingo Park yards. Cattle will be weighed full and 5% will be deducted to calculate their sale weight.
