Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Steers were a pleasure to handle through the yards, odd steer baulked going into the weigh box or exited the headbail after mouthing briskly, neither of which would be considered unexpected. after assessment Steers stood quietly and calmly for photos and in many instances needed to be moved away from the camera. walked out after assessment easily with 2 men on motorbikes.

Assessor Comments
3 decks of predominately soft crossbred steers. approximately 15% of this line have minimal hump height with higher bos indicus content. temperament is spot on with these boys handling very well through the yards and easily let out after assessment, it is not hard to see the education these boys have received. mixture of genetics includine Drensmaine and canowindra Santas, Rondel Droughtmasters, 5-Star Senepol/Charolais cross bulls, with small percentage of steers having higher Brahman content from Pluto and Chatfield Brahmans. 40% of the mob mouthed with only 3 steers just breaking 2 teeth. 100% weighed at assessment after 4 hrs off feed and water to average 408kg full weight. Odd steer in this mob has cracked off toes with some steers showing just fractionally long toes, not affecting their performance or ability in the paddock. Vendors have another line of Brahman steers in this sale and would like to deliver both lots at the same time.
