Temperament not assessed in Paddock
The heifers were good to handle throughout the yards and crush although nine heifers became unsettled in the crush when being assessed and exited quickly. Heifers all settled when back in the yard together. Generally they had very good temperament for just weaned cattle. Will be worked in and through the yards during weaning.

Assessor Comments
A line of good to very good quality NSM vendor bred heifers. They range from Angus through to a mostly very soft British/Euro/Bos Indicus composite heifer with just two flatback heifers displaying upto 50% Bos Indicus content. They are mostly large framed (60%) with the balance medium framed. They are ideal to background to heavy domestic feeder weights and then grain or crop finish. Four heifers noted with ring worm around the face and neck, not seen a detrimental. They were yard weaned from the day prior to assessment and will be fed and worked in the yards before moving to small weaning paddocks near the yards. No heifers are being retained this year and this is the lead of this years weaners and the top 40% have the potential to make very good quality future breeders. They were assessed with a LWR of 160 - 285 kg after a 24hr curfew off cows and the lighter and younger calves are not in this line and were returned to the cows. Good quality light weight young weaned heifers.
