A line of Texas Angus Sired Weaner Steers, out of an Angus and Angus X Cow herd. At assessment the weaners weighed from 268-335kg to average 294kg after an overnight dry curfew and present in a store condition. The weaners were bred in the Rocky River area to the East of Tenterfield and due to the wet winter the Vendor hasn't been able to access the property for some months, normally these weaners would have been sold a month or 2 earlier. Due to this delay they are showing signs of self weaning and will respond quickly when moved onto a drier paddock with increased nutrition. Lice was noted during the assessment, cattle will be treated prior to delivery. The weaners will be yard weaned until delivery, during this time they will be worked daily and will have access to lucerne hay and stock nuts. The Vendor will deliver to the Tenterfield Saleyards on Monday 8th.
