Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Steers were excellent to handle in all areas of the yards. They displayed a calm disposition out in the bigger yard while being photographed and evident in the video. There were the usual small percentage that did resent being in the crush but settled very quickly once let out and back into the mob. Buyer is urged to allow these time to settle on arrival before showing them the gate.

Assessor Comments
Buyers, here is an attractive lot of steers for your competition. These have presented very well considering the dry seasonal conditions and most are doing well on the supplementary pellets. All things considered they do show fantastic growth and weight for age with most of these demonstrating good muscle development, depth of barrel and bone. You can really see the genetic gain of the Palgrove bulls kicking into this herd. The weighing indicator did show a range of weight gain, some putting on plenty and some marking time but averaged right through almost 1kg/day for the past 36 days. These will suit all feedlot markets, both export and domestic. They are accustomed to putting their head in a bin so they should adapt quickly in a feedlot scenario. All steers look to be very healthy, clear in the eyes and clean noses. These were mustered early in the morning and walked 7kms to the yards to be assessed at 3pm in the afternoon. Very quiet steers to handle in all areas of the yards.
