Heifers were basically very good to handle in the yards and crush. Like all cattle they just need to be steadied through gateways etc. There are a few ring leaders that do tend to trot about out in the bigger yards.

Assessor Comments
Buyers a B-Double line of very attractive heifers best described as Composites (mainly the Angus and Brangus types) bred out of crossbred cows. These would suit restockers to background to heavier feedlot entry weights or heavier again as an MSA domestic slaughter heifer off improved pastures. They are all flatback' types with limited content in them. They show good weight for age, depth of barrel and femininity and should suit restockers looking to rebuild breeder numbers and are ready to mate to the bulls of your choice. They look to be on the move, and I would expect these to really hit their straps once they get onto some good fattening feed. Please note there are two lines of heifers in this sale from the same vendor. All guaranteed for clean country entry and will scratch clean on farm. Buyers looking to transport interstate will still require stopping to dip at Rolleston on the way through at their expense. If in doubt, please call the delivery agent for further clarification.
