The steers were a pleasure to handle through the yards at weighing and flowed very well. A few steers stirred up under pressure in the crush during mouthing, however, calmed down quickly when released.

Approx. 90 GQ Santa & SantaX Steers. The steers were weighed over the Cloncurry registered weigh bridge and are in store condition with plenty of compensatory gain to be had. Steers weighed an average of 243kg and look to weigh 150 – 300kg after being trucked to Cloncurry from Katherine. These steers have a good temperament and are a pleasure to handle. Ideal steers to background for the domestic feeder market or for the grass fed bullock market. At assessment there was one steer with a cloudy eye and 3 steers with weeping eyes, however, it was not considered detrimental. Please note vendor also has approx. 140 bulls available in the same auction.
