A very good quality line of EU and GRASSLANDS accredited yard weaned steers. With medium frame they suit to take on as quality export feeder or heavy slaughter steers. This is the lighter half of the steer drop with a tail taken out. Note their heavier brothers in this sale also. There has been a lot of pink eye around this year. The steers have been treated as necessary and every animal was checked in the head bail for any eye blemish at all. 25 steers were noted with a slight blemish in one eye, 1 steer with a slight blemish in both eyes and 6 steers had active pink eye which was treated at assessment with Noroclox 500 eye ointment, which has been effective in the past. The eye blemishes require noting but are not considered detrimental to their doing ability.
