Heifers were well handled through the assessment process. they were free flowing through the yards in a sensible manner with approx. 5% becoming agitated when under serve pressure in the race and crush scenario. These cattle were unnoticeable when returning to the mob for photographs.

A quality line of Santa & Droughtmaster Cross females that would be ideally suited to future breeders or backgrounding to weights for the supermarket feeder trade. These females had a LWR of 170kg to 350Kg with a DW of 282kg curfewed. All branded #1's these females show femininity, adequate bone, frame & volume. Buyers, please note that 7 females present with a 'broken baldy' disposition and also that 13 females had a white underline. Also make note that there are 7 females under 220kg at assessment that came off first calf heifers that had been struggling there for their progeny show the signs of being rougher than the others in the mob, but given the opportunity on good feed these females will respond. Vendor has pre-treated these females to assist tick free buyers. A quality line of red replacement future breeders or a line of backgrounder heifers that will suit the supermarket trade at the desired weight.
