Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Yearling heifers moved quietly through yards provided it was done at a slow pace. Under pressure they behaved like a typical yearling with a tendency to move quicker, especially if they became isolated from the main mob. Handled well through the force and race but small number did resent being up close and personal on the scales in the crush but were quick to settle once released.

Assessor Comments
Buyers, presented is a great opportunity to purchase a 3 deck line of good quality, quiet, mainly flatback crossbred heifers. Majority of the heifers appear to be flatback types however there are some heifers (maybe 10-15 head) with some Brangus or Droughtmaster content so consequently a slight crest and longer ear. These heifers would be ideal to put into a fresh paddock, crop, feed or to retain as future breeders. They are nice soft heifers and are developing very well to possess plenty of bone, depth of barrel and muscling. These heifers have been Vet tested non-detectable (PTE) to suit the feeder trade or if retained as future breeders to give buyers the opportunity to use bulls of choice. 20 of the heaviest heifers were mouthed and all have sound milk teeth.
