These calves considering they have not as yet been weaned worked pretty well through the yards. Odd one was a little bit unsettled in the crush but generally quiet. Buyer advised to complete the weaning process on arrival to allow them sufficient time to adapt to their new surroundings without their mothers.

Assessor Comments
Buyers, an impressive line of F1 Speckle Park heifer calves that present in excellent condition. They will remain on the cows until delivery so should still gain in weight. The feed conditions are very good and as a consequence the cows are milking very well. Calves have put on an average of about 40kgs in the past 30 days. The Speckle Park industry is humming along very well and these don’t have a lot of weight in them so buy with confidence for the long term. The Speckle Park over a Brahman looks to be a good cross, it has certainly put some bone and fleshing and shape into these young females evident in the photos and videos. They would suit to background up to heavier feedlot entry weights or take right through and fatten to heavier grassfed domestic supermarket trade heifers. They would also suit to grow out for future breeding females to the bulls of choice. Please note the steer portion are also being offered in this sale.
