Temperament not assessed in Paddock
Steers have received some education however the last of them have only been weaned for 1 week by the expected delivery date. Given it was their first handling through the yards, they drafted in a pound draft and then through the race sensibly. A small percentage became slightly agitated on the scales at weighing however majority walked in and stood contently and waited for the gate to open. Temperament of the steers is exceptional given thy are only in the early phase of weaning training.

Assessor Comments
STEER BACKGROUNDERS & BULLOCK FATTNERS TAKE NOTE OF THESE QUALITY VENDOR BRED BRAHMAN, WEANER STEERS. A very good line of Brahman & some Brahman X. The quality of these steers is suited to southern feedlots with plenty of bone & softness about them. Steers are Large to moderate frame and display quality confirmation. These are Freshly weaned steers in forward condition however show plenty of growth potential, they are on a rising plane of nutrition and have over 250 days of HGP left to run! All display tidy heads and an excellent temperament. The mothers of these steers is heavily influenced by the highly regarded Bungoona bloodlines with Charolais genetics through the core breeding herd. Sired by Chatfield and Bungoona braman bulls. Assessed 1 to 5 days off mothers & handled very well through the draft and scales. 100% with hump steers all showing high Bos Indicus levels. All the hard work has been done for a purchaser to take advantage of growing these steers further.
