Heifers were good to handle in the yards an crush. All leading up the race well, and standing sensibly in the crush, just a few doing a bit of rocking back and fourth. All heifers exited the crush quite calmly and rejoined their sisters. Let out in to the back yard for photographing and there was a couple of heifers that became a bit anxious, no rushing about, just having a look then pushing back in to the mob, need a bit more blocking up and educating to settle them down in larger areas.

Assessor Comments
Healthy line of young Hybrid Heifers. Young females that bring with them the main benefits of the Angus/Hereford cross; with excellent bone, heavy skin and a sensible attitude. These females have plenty of frame, good length, a good deep barrel and a general maternal style about them. Heifers that have been given time to grow out and mature properly, are heavily cycling and in spot on condition to put out with the bulls on delivery and target an early Autumn calving if you’re looking to join. These young females have shown good feed conversion; typical of their breed, just ticking along on dried off basic pastures with a bit of supplementary hay and extremely very well.
