Calves were easy to handle having only been weaned on Sunday. Were weighed & handled in a substandard set of yards & crush and behaved themselves well.

Small line of Steer weaners that have just been weaned and will stay in yards on hay until delivery. This is the vendors complete drop of calves with the heifers also being offered in the same sale. Out of 1st calving heifers that have done a great job running on unimproved hill country these steers will respond quickly with higher quality feed. Have had over an inch of rain on them in the yards since weaning so a quick delivery is recommended. There were 8 steers noted with old pinkeye scarring at assessment. 7 in 1 eye only and 1 steer with both eyes. 7 of the 8 have full sight and the worst steer has 1 eye without sight. See photos for the worst steer. Please be advised that the photos are of the 36 mixed sex calves. Please note that trucking is by tray truck only.
