Comment on Fat Score 1 Cattle
The Heifers that were assessed fat score 1 are in strong condition & will travel anywhere following the correct travel guidelines. These heifers have been weaned and put straight into a natural pasture paddock for the winter. This winter was very cold & wet which has given the country no time to grow nutritional feed. Heifers will flourish as we head into warmer spring conditions & given correct nutrients.

Heifers were a pleasure to handle through the drafting process which took place in a round yard complex, with a very small percentage showing signs of agitation. When heifers were put in pressure situations through the force yard & weigh box a larger amount become agitated by running quickly up race or looking to escape weigh box as no heifers were caught in crush. Heifers handle well in yards just take caution when handling in crush & race.

A Tidy line of dual purpose pure Red Angus heifers presenting in store condition, NSM, weaned, drenched and vaccinated. Due to the wet & cold winter that Pibbon went through in 2022 is the reason behind why these heifers present in store condition. This article creates a golden opportunity for the intended purchaser to obtain great genetics that will thrive given the correct nutrition, as we are heading into an exceptional forecasted spring. The Danson Family are renown for breeding proven quality genetics that always excel through feedlots or market places. The Pibbon Red Angus herd follows the direction and beliefs of the Pharo cattle company program. Note: 2 heifers showed some green scours @ assessment but is only due to the lush green feed now growing and a small portion of heifers show rub marks but is very common for this time of year which both are not deemed detrimental. OPPORTUNITY PRESENTS.
